in Baudrillard's terms, too:

Any created object, visual or analytic, conceptual or photographic, has to condense all the dimensions of the game into a single one: the allegorical, the representative, the agonal, the random, and the vertiginous.
Recomposing the spectrum.
A work, an object, a piece of architecture, a photograph, but equally a crime or event, must be the allegory of something, be a challenge to someone, bring chance into play, and produce vertigo.

"Get the Picture" #5

THINK
         (for Leary)

Each color is no what like
the eye itself is, but
you get stirred by it
and explain what shakes you
with words until one day
you feel the eye as ball
and muscled lens the light
hits you thru, and you think
physical but not at all too.

"Get the Picture" #4

INSTANT
         (for Sherri)

The distance we measure as we chant,
“one, 1000, two, 1000, …” and wait
is in our heads. The boom
comes from the flash, we say;
it just takes longer.
But when time takes us into parsing bits,
it’s as if we miss the elegance
of two moments: one, of light
pink-edged and brighter-than-white at core;
the other, a ripplingly sundered instant
in which anyone is moved to feel
the air is more than solid.

"Get the Picture" #3

HANDLE
         (for Kaline)

“Tyger” waits in the shadow
a word casts behind a thing
brought to you by baseball,
cartoons, and cereal boxes;
its disembodied head
pounces, growls, and pronounces its name--
that handle our lives provide
that holds that shape inside.

Ciaran's new dimension: "Makes the Sound"

Whilst I have been laboring in the poetic dimension of the relations between thought and image, worded or shown, my 2-1/2-yr-old grandson Ciaran has developed work in the dimension between writing and sounds. His most recent reading suggests a new path for further experimentation in this direction. Imagine a whole long work read aloud using Ciaran's letter-by-letter approach after you watch this short video of his performance called "Makes the Sound":
